Silverfish  Carry no diseases and are small wingless insects that typically live 2 to 8 years.They are nocturnal (night time) insects that eat / damage book bindings, paper, sugar, hair, carpet and much more.
Flies      Are typically a nuisance pest, but have the potential to harm humans and animals. Flies can spread diseases such as food poisoning and dysentery.
Bed Bugs     Are small, elusive, parasitic insects that live by feeding exclusively on the blood of humans and other warm-blooded animals. Bedbugs, though not strictly nocturnal, are mainly active at night and are capable of feeding unnoticed on their hosts.
Cockroaches     These pest crawl through dirty areas and then walk around our homes tracking in lots of bacteria and germs. They can contaminate food by shedding their skin. Their cast off skin and waste byproducts are allergens that can trigger allergic reactions, asthma and other illnesses, especially in children. Cockroaches typically live in warm , dark, wet places, because they need to be near water. They are often found in sewers, pipes and drains.
Bees     Although a bee sting can be deadly to those with allergies, virtually all bee species are non-aggressive if undisturbed. Some stings may cause serious medical problems and even death. Not all bee sting.
Wasps     Because many of these species live in colonies, if one stings you, you may be stung by many. Although most stings cause only minor medical problems, some stings may cause serious medical problems and even death. Not all wasp sting.
Mosquitos     There are about 3,500 species of mosquitoes found throughout the world. In some species of mosquito, the females feed on humans, and  are therefore vectors for a number of infectious diseases affecting millions of people per year. While males typically feed on nectar and plant juices, the female needs to obtain nutrients from a "blood meal" before she can produce eggs.
Ants     Carpenter ants dont carry diseases, but when building a nest inside your home, Carpenter ants dig smooth tunnels inside the wood. These tunnels weaken the wood and potentially damage the wood that keeps the house standing. Ants will eat almost anything, including insects, grease, seeds, honeydew, bread, meats and nuts. The life expectancy of an ant is 45-60 days.
Spiders     The bite of most spiders are non-toxic to humans. St Andrews spider is usually found in gardens and around the home. Some spider bites can be fatal if not treated immediately.
Fleas     Fleas are a nuisance to their host, causing an itching sensation to both cats and dogs. Fleas can also act as a vector for disease. Fleas can transmit a variety of viral, bacterial and rickettsial diseases to humans and other animals. Fleas have helped cause epidemics by transmitting the bubonic plague between rodents and people.
Ticks     Are blood feeding parasites that are often found in tall grass where they will wait to attach to a passing host. Ticks are vectors of a number of diseases, such as Lyme disease, Q fever and many more. Ticks are typically found on dogs and cats.
Rodents     Are some of the most troublesome and damaging rodents in the United States. They consume and contaminate food. They transmit parasites and diseases to other animals and humans. Rats can be found in attics, walls, false ceilings, and cabinets. Most known rats are Roof Rats and Norway Rats.

Residential Pest Control

G.P.C. provides an initial interior clean-out of your home to exterminate all pest/bugs that invade your home. After the inside clean-out, we then focus on the exterior barrier treatment of the home to eliminate the pest/bugs on the outside where they breed and live. The initial inside service includes treating all cracks and crevices and electrical switch plates in key areas such as bathrooms, kitchens and all common areas within the home. If necessary, the attic may need to be fogged or dusted. This would be in the case of an existing infestation.

Whiteflies Killing Your Ficus?

Whiteflies are a small winged pest that attacks ficus trees. It feeds on the underside of the leaves with their "needle-like" mouthparts sucking juices/nutrient from them causing wilting, yellowing, stunting, and leaves to fall off. You may notice your ficus hedge thinning, or dead leaves at the base of your hedge even if it appears to be green. These are the beginning stages of whiteflies attacking your ficus. If treated early, you can prevent the death of your ficus trees.

In our opinion, ficus should be treated every 3 months on a maintenance basis for the ficus to survive whiteflies.
